Am planning a road trim in the 911, thought is to go to the Nurburgring for the GP, and then spend 10 days or so exploring, with a visit to friends in Munich, and then stop off at Stuttgart on the way back for the Porsche museum.

Am not sure the best route to take: Ferry or Eurotunnel?

I have a C4S with aerokit, so am wary of destroying the front splitter unnecessarily.

Any advice appreciated.

I can't really add alot other than Stuttgart to UK via the Ring in a day was no probs for me in Worcestershire and I took the ferry.
So if time becomes tight, just allow the whole day for getting home, with no overnight stops needed.

if you are in Stuttgart area , as well as Porsche museum which is excellent, you might also want to visit the Mercedes museum. You'll need to get the green emissions sticker for driving in Stuttgart so take your V5 . If you have time, a visit to the Mosel area is fantastic - places like Bernkastle-Kues, Piesport etc on the river are beautiful and there are some stunning roads in that area for driving - and lots of wine!
The tunnel trains present no problem for a GT3 and it is so much less hassle than the ferry IMO , plus they are always very helpful if you turn up early/late.
