Have you tried the usual things. Plug leads in correct order, sensors plugged back etc. In other words everything you had to unplugg when removing the cylinder head?

What about inlet manifold gasket sealing correctly?

How long was the car stationary as fuel can go off pretty quick?

Opitmax (Shells top fuel) is supposed to clean your engine!
Saying that though it didnt keep mine clean, checking it a year after the rebuild and polish
But then I do have a fueling problem.

Had a friend who did this. Killed 2 push rods, bu&&ered a set of alloy 1.5 Full Roller rockers, then tried to bolt the head on with bolts from a hardware store!!

And the add fuel to the fire I had to go up and fix the car. An art student fixing a car with 5 automotive engineering students looking on!!
