997 test drive central London?
Discussion
Not really anywhere in central where you can open up a porker, let alone a micra! Tunnels around blackfriars? 40mph by park lane perhaps? Or maybe if you're heading out paddington way you might make the ripe old 50mph but really nothing. If you can arrange a drive with Porsche West London then maybe a drive out down the M4 could work?

I test drove a new Turbo S (Dec 2012 new) last weeked at East London dealership, the roads leading down to and around back of London City airport allow for some spirited driving to test it.
Be VERY careful of doing this! I've paid very dearly for 'opening her up' when testing a Boxster S a year or so ago. Nobody saw the policeman hiding with laser gun behind the sign on a deserted stretch of 40mph dual carriageway ("A1020" Royal Albert way)...Amusingly there was already another Porsche pulled over. Even more 'amusing' was that our car wasn't displaying any plates apart from the 'Porsche Approved' ones as the front one was on the salesman's lap while the rear one had become obscured while pulling the roof down mid test.
Underpass at Hyde Park Corner is good for a blast as is Park Lane on the way up. A lap of Belgrave square is well worth doing too but only one as there are a lot of police outside the embassies. Hyde Park Corner itself coming from the lights at Buckingham Palace road can be fun. I used to commute in my 997 and these were the places I would leave it in second and floor it.
Enjoy!
Enjoy!
