Power Steering hose
Discussion
Hi Marceli,
Is this a trick question?
Or is your TVR a different model, because I have never known of an S Series fitted with power steering.
I'm sure someone will be along shortly to prove me wrong.
What colour is the leaking fluid? Power steering fluid is generally red.
Is there a power steering pump driven by the V-belt?

Not so hard to get a lhd pas rack as there was the chevrolet chevette which had pas on some models I believe. I'm afraid I became a power steering anorak (I prefer expert!) when I researched for the V8S.
Interestingly I havent followed it closely but I think there has been talk on other threads that an early subaru rack may fit TVR's with a bit of jiggery pokery.

I thought the problem was a leaking PAS hose?
As Phillpot said, there are hydraulic hose specialists that can repair or remake if you take your hose to them as a sample.
I'm still amazed to see PAS on an S.
I don't think there is room on a right-hand hand drive model.
I am also wondering where your coolant swirl pot is located, I can't see it in the photos
I suppose it saves worrying about which cap goes where

Hey! Don't laugh at me
It's not combined swirl pot & expansion tank - it's my lack of english vocabulary
I'll check where swirl pot is, but now I've got a problem with free time. I have no time to open the bonnet - it's snowing again in Poland, so I'm sliding 24h/day
Maybe someone throw swirl pot away?

It's ok Marcelli, nobody is laughing at you, it's just the debate about the pressure caps that has been going on for years.

It looks like the swirl pot has been dispensed with on your car to make room for the power steering pump. I wonder if it was a TVR factory conversion, or a later modification?
By the way, your excellent command of the English language is better than a lot of English people who place adverts on eBay.

Don't bother - My lack of knowledge can't offend me. I'm learning
Debate about pressure cups? That sounds interesting

Adding swirl pot is quite easy - it's not powered, so can be fitted anywhere. There should be enough room near radiator. Now I know - swirl pot was standard, power steering wasn't. Can anybody check if power steering was an option?

Thanks for a good word, but it doesn't justify me
