Hello all. I'm looking to get a 3R this year and there is one in the classifieds with a good spec and a scarcely believable 460 miles. I thought the mileage might be a typo but its like that on the dealers website too. Does anyone know that car or have experience of the dealer? I'm new to the Noble scene so just trying to get educated on whats what and who's who.

Hi Matt,

This is indeed my very first Noble, I raised a thread here to discuss it.

http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...

It's definately done more than 460 miles, if I remember correctly I did 22,000 miles in it way back in 2005/2006. I suspect it's a typo and meant to say 46,000 miles.

It's a lovely colour combination and looks like it was upgraded after leaving my ownership hence the power increase.

It has popped up at various places which could be innocent enough but I did have a bit of a chat with the owner when it was on Ebay some time ago. His email took me by surprise as he claimed the car had been involved in some kind of robbery.

Do you research and make sures it's a clean one before jumping in.

Seems to be a fair bit of interest in this car, probably given the mileage.

Even if it was genuine, A car that has done so few miles in so many years is going to have a fair few problems. Mileage on a car like this would not bother me as long as everything is as it should be.

I saw that this one has had an engine rebuild? Could they mean that since the build it has done 460 miles?

Thanks for the heads up.

I'm in no rush so will keep looking until the right car comes along.

Hi Ian. There's no email in your profile. Your car looks great in the classifieds but I'm not looking to spend that kind of money and I would like to by from a dealer rather than a private sale. Best of luck selling yours Im sure someone will snap it up soon.

Why only from a dealer??? you will be paying more money for the same car as you can buy privately.

Of course you'll almost always pay more for identical spec car from a dealer because you get more of a service from a dealer like warranty, SOGA protection etc. All my snotters I've bought privately, but all my nice/highly strung cars are bought from dealers. You pays your money and all that.
