Does anybody here recall the message thread following the Tuscan meeting at Donington earlier in the season when David Mason was accused of using stockcar driver antics???
It would seem that following his start from the back of the grid Sunday's race at Combe, Jay Shepherd decided to try out the move. Unfortunately, Jay picked on his own stablemate, Lee Caroline and Rob Urqhart. The result was Jay ending up parked on the trackside with a front wheel missing and a DNF on the results sheet!!
Well done to Bert and the boys, another good weekend for the CDL team. Guges in his 'regular' first place and that boy Mason in 3rd! Well done David. I knew you could do it with a little more seat time!

Seems like the pressure that Jay has demonstrably applied to Gugs on several occasions this season is beginning to get his supporters a bit twitchy.
Rather than attempt to sling mud, I would be much happier to heap praise on both of them for the extremely entertaining tussle for 1st place in Saturday's race - how many changes of lead? I lost count. From what I understood it was a clean race with both respecting each others space and undoubted abilities. I have yet to see any other driver in this years challenge take the race to Steve, without Jay it would be a clean sweep of wins.
Time for some mutual respect I think and watch this space when the luck changes. Oops, sorry couldn't resist that last bit

The weekend was excellent and the racing was a real spectacle in front of so many die hard TVR fans.
Guges move at Camp in the Sprint race on Saturday had to make that possibly the best race finish of the season so far.

I am a big fan of Guges, but I am not frightened to stand and praise all who participate in what I think is one of the best series of Motorsport in the UK!
Without the likes of Jay, Richard Hay, Andy Britnell etc we would all be losers. The racing is great and I am 'honestly' happy for Jay and the progress he has made in the short time he has been racing the Blackpool Beasts.
With the likes of Caroline, Mason and Rob Urq... enjoying progress through the field with additional seat time, we the spectators are the real winners. Lets hope the rest of the season will be as good as the start.
I must add that I actually saw Jay get out of the car on Saturday and congratulate Guges on his move at Camp. Everyone involved in Tuscans from the drivers, teams and spectators must be the envy of many other formulaes in the UK!!

There as been a lot spoken of Jay recently and he has done very very well there is no doubt of that but what of is team mate this weekend from 5th at the start up to 3rd and then back down to 5th and then to finish 2nd that was superb.Rocket Rob Urqart he of blind date fame,was to me this weekends star in the making,he drove very well and followed Gugs in 1 race, David mason was also superb with is 1st podium. So we are half way, and if the rest of the season is as good as Combe was, we will have all had a good season entertainment dont you think .
