Yeah iv'e had this problem of the Reversing lights coming on when driving, and when iv'e stopped and Put auto into Park mode they remain on ? Sometimes if you put it into Reverse and then Park 3 or 4 times the reverse lights will then go off. But i have also noticed that just in front of the passanger seat the carpet seems to be Damp, and there is some sort of Wiring unit just behing there under the Passenger seat, so not sure if that unit is getting wet and causing the Problem ? confused

OK So in no particular order...............No I have not had this particular problem....strange as I seem to have had pretty much everything else biggrinbiggrin. Damp carpets........would get those up asap and take a look as iirc this may mean blocked drain holes and that in turn may lead to fried electrics of which the reversing lights may just be the entree.
Either way, damp carpets unless deliberately caused are a bit of a nbo/no with modern electrics.

Yeah thanks Rob, we seem to have found where the problem is ! The rear wash wipe pipe near the Water bottle end has split, and as a cosequence has been spuirting water into the Main ECU, "Probably for a While now" Thus causing the Electrical problem. Also the water has seeped through to the Carpets hence the Damp areas ! Yeah cost of a new ecu £309 + Vat. eek

Hi, you mean the control unit on drivers side in boot area...below rear quarter light window?

I may have a brand new one of those, sure they were around £190 when I replaced one on mine for brake lights staying on all the time!

Hi Mike, Well i'm not too sure if it is that ECU that needs replacing as iv'e got the Car at a Porsche Specialist garage and they called me to say it was the Main ECU, and i think they said its at the front of the Dash, as the rear wash wipe pipe at the washer bottle end had split, hence the ECU being flooded out ! But cheers and regards Ian
