Atlas grey is a good colour too.

I'd be surprised if it doesn't sell straight away.

Price seems very good. On this matter, it seems that 997 and 996 now have got to a point where they are depreciating less.

Case in point, I can't find a 996 like mine for the price I paid for nearly 1 year ago. Similarly, hardly any 997 under 20k.

Yeah they seemed to have bottomed out.

High mileage 997's are 20-25k

Average mileage 997s but poor spec circa 25k

Lower miles with good spec 997 28-30k

Top spec, low miles 997 are still 30k+

997.2 S cars still seem over 40k.

A bit like 997.1 GT3's seem to be holding 50k as the bottom, anything that slips sub 50k seems to sell in an instant.

Can anyone recommend anything to look out for when buying a 997 C2S?

This is not tempting. It required a new engine. If that doesn't set alarm bells ringing then nothing will. 23 odd grand is way too much for something like that. And it's grey.

Why would a new engine set alarm bells ringing?

Why should the fact it 'had' a new engine ring alarm bells?

Splendid answer Sir. I'll remember that response next time I know jack st about something. I normally make something up, but plain not knowing has a certain panache wouldn't you agree?

I love how on high mileage cars with photos showing the drivers side, almost always choose not to disclose the drivers side bolster... Call me a cynic... wink
