Replaced the standard Porsche Varta battery with a Bosch SS5 (five year guarantee) last March. All well until yesterday morning - went to start up to be met with that familiar sinking feeling - click, click, click! Put the conditioner on for a couple of hours to get enough charge into it to start up. Gave it a decent run and fine since then.
Main problem is, at this time of the year, car is only coming out of the garage at the weekends, so alarm has shut down and doors have to be opened on key.
Should I be needing to use battery conditioner on a regular basis on a battery which is only 11 months old, (and if so how often), or is this symptons of a dodgey battery?

You need to use a battery conditioner continually.

My car runs less than yours and its the only way for me...but it will work for you.

It should last at least weekend to weekend! A battery in good condition should see you through at least 2 to 3 weeks without starting.

Same battery here. Same car.
Cash in on the five year no quibble warranty I say.
