Both cars above have story's

http://www.pistonheads.com/classifieds/used-cars/p...

Know nothing about this car.

I have been offered a 96RS just working out with sale of children I can do it.
28,000 2 owners with with blue.

If I want to sell it in 5 years will it sell or will I have a brilliant car that's up for sale along with the others at 60K and not selling.

Any thoughts.

Good ones sell.

I can only see the supply and demand aspect of it getting stronger over time.

I certainly wouldn't worry about paying £60k for a mint one, if I had the cash.

eta - £55k-£56k would make me feel happier about the deal though, at the minute. smile

No one has a 20:20 view into the future, but looking at other RS models, the 6RS ought to be worth at least what you pay today in 5 years' time.

I think there are only 20 or so blue ones? Which in my view is going to make them even more sought after.

Like others have said, if it's a clean car, I would definitely not be too worried about it.

What's the ballpark price if you don't mind me asking?

The other dynamic here is that at some point in the future, there will be so few cars that don't have "a story", that buyers will have no choice but to buy what's available.

Talking my own book to be fair but if they are good will only go up in value imo..problem is already finding a non-abused car..i bit the bullet and paid up 2 years ago..but what i have is probably irreplaceable and that is what happens with rare cars over time..they get fashionable, people then want them..and the majority are ste..hence good ones go through the roof..as per 964 turbos etc..very unloved 10 years ago the majority of air-cooleds..now mega-bid and the majority on offer are shockingley poor imo

This car has 26,000 miles just had a Porsche warranty put on it, so no over rev's cream coloured bonnet. I think it's only 2 owners and this guy's had it 6 year.

He's well over 50 and never been on the track with it. Carried 6 service's and only 4000 miles.

smile

Should be in great condition.

Not sure what you mean about cream coloured bonnet, but it sounds very good.

Sign of no damage, or paint. Carbon fibre bonnet discolours.

If I knew that, I would be a millionaire! It depends on many things.

However, my money would be on a gentle rising in value.

I'd like to think that 6RS's aren't going too far price wise. They seem a good bet, although the trend over the last few years has been downwards from what I remember seeing recently.

Think they need to me very much closer to £50K to sell. I love the cars though.

Might be worth giving some details in case it's a car known to someone here?

Well, Mr Rohrl is over 50 so I am not sure age is a sign of how the car has been driven wink

Although I am aware of at least one OPC using this as a positive selling point for a car!
