How about Make-up, sure she might have some interest in that or crossroads or local gossip or hairdressers or MEN now that would get her going.

Talk about politics (e.g. international relations) for the first two minutes; she'd actually welcome to talk about cars

BTW: Does she look good?

Try something about the RSPCA - girlies always like fluffy kittens and puppies - brings out maternal urges.

10 minute talks are bloody hard. Half an hour is actually easier as you can structure it better.
I guess they are looking for structure anyway rather than content. Keep it simple. Maybe choose a local issue which is high profile. This makes research easier as the information is easy to obtain.
Whatever you decide upon, remeber the old adage:
Tell 'em what you're going to tell 'em.
Tell 'em.
Tell 'em what you told 'em.
Conclusion.

Good structure for any form of communication. But pick a topic you know the audience is interested in -- who is the audience btw?

A subject that is common to both species? What about sexual technique? You could do 5 minutes of presentation, 5 minutes of demonstration. If, as you say, she's a J Lo looky likee then it would only be right to do it the "Sloany" way and "turn her over and bugger her senseless" at the end.....!!

Oh and don't forget to earn extra credits by going hi-tech and webcasting it, I'm sure Ted would oblige.

And so are at least half the single mothers my best man teaches, the others are younger so it isn't exactly a new topic to 'em. In fact if they all followed my suggestions then they might avoid the pregnancies at least.......

Unfortunately!

I could even look after stick insects at the age of 14 let alone an ankle biter.

Talk about SPEED (Driven type Given type) Start spreading the word that "SPEED DOES NOT KILL, spread the gospel of "STUPID PEOPLE KILL PEOPLE" (Girls love it when they think they are right) and how many of the listers here have been told to stop driving like an idiot?

What better place to start than a school where the next generation of Pistonheads may come from!

Ok, I'll go ... But who is Oprah?

The environment's always good for looking wise and impressing the girls with your caring sensitive nature. You'll probably get some good audience feedback as well.

(which is actually good even if they don't agree () as it shows they've been listening ...)

Look into some of the real issues, rather than the "O mi god the world's going to explode if we all keep breathing out Carbon Dioxide like this"

How about poetry...she may not understand exactly what it means, so just choose a poem with loads of stars, moon, love, sunshine of mylife nonsense etc in it and she'll go weak at the knees, or maybe just.......

I think I'll go now...
