Entries went live for the 2013 UK Gravity's yesterday, anyone on here enter any?

I'm booked on the first two; I wasn't too sure about Afan but rd2 Innerleithen is always a reet treat! May book on some of the other rounds later in the year if there's any spaces...

Would love to, but doubt I will.
Want to start doing in time, and i'm working towards the goal of doing the 2014 mega.
What bike are you doing the events on? I'm curious.

I'll be back in the UK this summer, so I'll be entering some of the races later in the year. Rd 5 for sure!

not gravity but have entered a couple of single loop 'enduros'

Red Kite in April
Dyfi on the May Bank holiday

Will probably enter a few more, and of course Bristol Bike Fest (I can nearly see the suspension bridge from the office window)

I fancied the Dyfi Enduro myself, but I forgot about it til late on Sunday and of course it had sold out by then... Did the winter warmer a couple of weeks back and it was good fun!

Contemplating doing the Mega, but not sure if funds will permit scratchchin

I really think it's sits right in the middle of XC and DH; so there's something for anyone who considers themselves to be a true mountain biker.

Coming from DH I found I've had to slow the pace a little, just so there's plenty in the tank for each run (some of the stages are circa 7mins long...) and you stay on. Have a big crash and that's your race done!

But coming from xc I think you'll probably need to hold back on the ups maybe...

Excellent cheers for that, I was out at the weekend getting muddy, 12 miles of gloopy XC then about an hour of DH focused fun.
Timed on strava, i recorded PB's on all 3 routes in the worst conditions i've ever done them in LOL

I'll be taking my YT wicked 150 Ltd and my full carbon 29er full susser, depending on the terrain , will depend on what i will use.
Not been to races before where you can practice?

Surely the YT Industries beast is the way to go!
I'm only just getting into the serious mtb lark with the plan of jumping straight into the world of enduro next year...
My research would say you're best training at one of the large welsh trail centres on a black loop "time" of over a hour.

But someone who actually knows what there on about, should be along soon to give you better advice!

Thats the thing, i've got now where local to "train" So i can either do XC or DH, not much inbetween, no trail centre's near by, let alone welsh ones LOL
I have used my 29er in trail centres and to be honest is better than most 26" varients due to it flattening it out and covering ground that much quicker, without loosing out too much on the downs.
But as we are being timed on the downs the YT "should" be quicker? again depends on the terrain?

This is what I'll be riding guys:

A little on the heavy side, but it rides like a rig on the gnarly bits so it's bags of fun!

If funds permit I would love to do it this year! It would be one of the last thing to tick off my 'to-do before I'm 30' list...

They certainly divide opinion! I thought I may as well go for the full on colour clash, but I now have a matching Bos Stoy rear shock so they compliment each other nicely. Not that I'm vain or anything... tongue out

Entered Rd1. Maybe a few others if I can.
I did the CyB on a 29er hardtail with 80mm travel and did OK. It was probably the least technical round mind, but I think Afan will be fairly similar.
