Singer 911

Hi guys,

Don't usually venture into the Porsche forum, but heard on twitter that there's a singer 911 in the country. It was at Top Gear yesterday and was wondering if anyone knew if there's anywhere to go have a look at it. A friend who used to own a 964 RS and now had a 993 RS is very keen to have a peek at it.

Any info would be great

I believe there is at least one car in the UK very briefly this weekend, and yes TG (James May)was invited to review it. Not sure if/when it might be broadcast though.

Contact Singer direct and I'm sure they will try to accommodate any prospective customers.

As a teacher I don't think I'll ever be in the position to buy a Singer, however I'd still fancy a look around one. Doubt that line will get me in though

Thanks - that's what I couldn't work out - the lights look older than 964.

I'm going to the launch event in London on Saturday. It's in East London. I'll take some photos, if I'm allowed to.

I'm taking my hand brake with me. That'll put paid to any impulse purchasing.

Hoping that they'll also reveal plans of their kits that Chris mentioned in his video interview. I think that'll be closer to my budget and ambitions, I'm not really into the idea of entirely reimagining a 964 with carbon fibre and so on.

Went along tonight. It's less than a mile from my house which was awfully convenient.

Bit disorganised if they were serious about persuading people to part with £215k.

Ended up having a chat with Rob and am picking up with him outside the event on the modular after market part options.

Car was gorgeous though, seriously beautifully put together.
