It seems that everyone on the forum rides very new posing machines. There must be some peepz riding old stuff. Personally, I live in EC1 (Central London), so if I bought a new GSXR I reckon I would have it about a week, if that!!

So, I ride an old Kwaka GPX750R (red). It's slightly scuffy, but does the business treatfully and it's lovingly maintained by my good self.

So, what do you ride?

Nice one! ... That Vincent must be alot of fun. First 150mph production bike? and it's not going to depreciate! lol

Your FZR is nearly as old as my GPX (1989) !!

Vincent Black Shadow? You lucky bugger.

Mind you as far as the "crap brakes - scary to ride" goes my MZ TS250 definitely qualifies.

Current daily is a 1994 Triumph Tiger (or 'Steamer' as it's known by then Tiger cognescenti)

Mainly due to the Blackbird needing an MOT and the 99 tiger having a seized rear brake retaining pin, so both are off the road atm.

Me!

1989 FZR1000 Exup, 140bhp at the back wheel so still cuts it with the modern stuff, just needs a bit of muscle around corners.

I like it, a bit uncomfy after an hour due to plank of a seat but getting it modified over winter with a gel insert.

The only reeally older bike that has ever appealed to me is the Sunbeam S7, dunno why really just always liked them, was very temped by one a couple of years back.

Of the relitivly more modern stuff, an original 1969 or 1970 CB750 appeals and and also an RC30 Ive always thought would be fun to own & maybe if I had taken my brave pills an NSR500 as a track bike

I've just bought a 1974 Honda XL250 Motorsport - she is a bit of an old lady now, but must have been quite advanced when new. It's really great to be back on a bike for the first time in over 20 years - wish I hadn't waited so long !

Just need to get a new helmet and some gear now - my old AGV seemed fine for the odd track day in the cars, but it suddenly feels very stupid to be using it on a bike.

I think I can feel a trip to Hein Gericke coming at the weekend !

Cheers
Ian

Hi,

I have a:
1979 Laverda Jota (180 degree)
1966 Dunstall 500 Dominator (cafe racer set up)
1968 Triton (750cc engine / Featherbed wide frame)

I don't ride them enough anymore.

Oh and a 1997 Fireblade.
