Lets hear about your crazy car projects that are underway. I know some of you are doing some mad things with over powered mini's and kit cars. Some photo's or just ideas about project drag cars, hill climbers or trackday madness etc would make very good reading. What's in that shed?....

Well I have this rolling shell of a Midget tooked away in the garage...

And I also aquired a Jag 4.2 lump and auto 'box along the way...

BUT I think I will try putting a bike engine in there instead (Although the infamous DVA once mentioned that he could sort me out a good K series) GRP panels, stripped interior, just aeroscreen and tonneau, that kind of thing. Trackday/hooning about car. Next project after I finish the 'road' Midget.

Anybody any other thoughts on engine choice?

Cheers, Phil

After building the Fiesta race car, which turned out to be quite sucessful, I have undertaken the complete restoration of my TVR S2.
Plans for it include:
Rear disk conversion, (Cosworth spec).
Front disk big brake upgrade, (Wilwood or Brembo).
Fit limited slip diff.
Professional rebuild of gearbox to my own close ratios.
Engine rebuild with fast road cam, ported, flowed and bored to within limits of good reliability.
Chassis restoration, (shotblasted and painted).
Body restoration.
Suspension is already sorted.
New Wilton carpets.
New leather seats.
New hood.

It will cost a fortune and i'll never get my money back if I sell it, but then I don't intend to, and I like the car.
Should take around 1 year if I work very hard.
The car is currently being stripped down.
