The Expedia links aren't showing up, they may not allow direct links.

Somehow I can't imagine Beth enjoying her stay there.

She didnt and nor did I

We left at 8am and didnt return til we felt knackered.
Not much chance of romance there!

the mouse exterminator was seen on our floor on day two!
He apparently treated all rooms!

I think you are right. Its because we put up with the crap, as we dont want to make a fuss.

Had a response from the company
They're looking into it!

I hope not like a British workman, into a hole in the road!

I went to New York a couple of years ago with a friend and ended up stuck in a hotel not on the island and with barely any facilities (although the room itself wasn't too bad), some taxis even refused to take us back to the hotel as it was too far out of Manhatten. We were fuming , but of course, they can't do anything about it

I really wished we'd kicked up more of a stink when we got back but let it slip after the first bullsh1t reply from the company.

Give 'em both barrels

So Cheap tickets . com

I finally went to trading standards. They were real help - told me to write a registered letter to the company and give them 7 days to respond.

Respond they did

Eventually I got aphone call from a lady who stated I would be refunded in full.

I rest

Then an email stating it wasnt their fault but their sister company in the States and they would have to speak with them - so back to square one

I complain re refund then back word but it was xmas break so no response.

Then I find my credit card refunded by 50%

I complain and am told to speak with the company in the states - who only send me autoresponse emails.

So it looks like Im back to trading standards

F---ING CUSTOMER RIGHTS - geez and people complain about the BiB!

Send them another letter stating that you intend to sue them through the small claims for the money Rich. If they don't pay up sue them - it doesn't cost much - your contract was, presumably, with the UK company not the US one so they should pay you it all back. I'm getting sick with the lack of decent service now in this country and have recently followed the US example...sue the b@stards...
