328 GTS gearlever question

With the rather awkward driving position these have with arms around knees kind of thing, my leg/knee is right on the gearlever when in 5th. Is there a company that makes a lever that is kind of 'S' or lightening bolt shaped so us right hand drive owners can get a bit more room?

I have seen an alloy steering wheel spacer for sale - is that any good?
