About to buy an import Mini Cooper S. What should I know?
Discussion
I've got the opportunity to buy a Mini Cooper s from a relative. This car is mint and very low mileage. Being a relative I've also been offered the car at a " family price". However it's an import having come from South Africa where the relative used to live. What can I expect when I try to sell it? Any other pitfalls I should know about? Appreciate any views on this.
As an import the price will be lower but there are not may mini imports around (Not much point). The insurance will have to know and will probably be higher. Its a bit hard to know if there are any pit falls. In most cases there are some parts that a diffrent but I have no idear on a mini may be nothing. Would check tht the tyers are EU spec.
Thanks Dan GT - pretty much what I was thinking. Car looks same as uk spec to me. Given where its coming from and I know the car I'll take her on. I assume a uk mini dealer would take a px in the future if ever I wanted to change. May take a trip to the local dealer at the weekend and have a chat.
