mansfield to manchester airport

Hi guys, I need to get over to manchester this afternoon to pick my sister and her hubby up from Manchester airport tomorrow morning, (stopping over at a hotel tonight).
So does anyone know what the conditions are like for driving up?

Am I better off going via the Motorways or is it ok over the tops ?

Any help appreciated .

I live in wilmslow (about 8 miles from the airport) all the roads are clear (and any snow on the sides is melting quickly)

Well needn't have worried at all the roads are fine all the way over the tops plenty of snow to the sides but congrats to the local highway people.
