Hi
The TVRCC Central Scotland region are having a rolling road session at Dastek, Dalgety Bay, Fife, on Saturday October 2. We have the 9:00-12:00 slot booked.

It looks like we'll have a few spaces left, so it's being opened up to anyone else that wants to come. TVRs and/or monster powerful rear-wheel drive cars preferred but we need to fill some places, so most things accepted

Cost will be £25 (per power run) and you get a printout of power etc to frame (or burn, if its less than you hoped).

The Dastek rolling road is a great setup, and will accomodate 4wd cars too, plus there are extra side air blowers for the mid-engined brigade.

We do need deposits for this event, so for anyone that's interested please drop me an email so I can keep track of numbers, and send off a deposit of £10.

Cheques payable to 'TVRCC Scotland'. Send to

direct email is wball@IndexSystems.co.uk but I'll be away from the office off and on over the next few weeks so don't expect an immediate reply.

See you there....maybe

Hi,

My brother and I have spent quite a while this summer tinkering with his thirdgen Chevy Camaro. It would have been good to get it on the rollers and see what it can do...it's a stock 350 but with a Holley (now hopefully re-jetted properly) and basically a very large pipe for an exhaust! Sadly he's away that weekend and he doesn't trust me to get through the tolls on the FRB with his LHD monster...

Been too busy with that to have done much with the Ultima other than fix the slightly low rev-limit and dragging clutch I found last time out at Dastek.

Definitely a good morning out though and the facilities and folk at Dastek are very good.

Bump

c'mon folks...I still need 3 more cars.

Don't tell me there's no-one else in driving distance of Fife this Saturday that wants a run on a rolling road for #25? Don't be shy...drop me a mail and a deposit

Just to confirm (and just back in), I was informed at 17:00 that there has been some sort of breakdown/breakage on the rolling road today that means it cannot run 4wd cars. It is unlikely to be fixed in time for our session tomorrow. There is no problem running fwd or rwd cars.

Sorry about short notice, but a) I only heard at 17:00, and b) I think it only broke today for 4wd, and was actually OK this morning

Still, should be quite a few TVRs there....

Had a great day today! Not only did I learn about TVR's but I also got 10bhp more out of my car than I thought! Woo hoo! Thanks to everyone for making me feel welcome in my little buggy!

hey a 12% increase in power is not to be sniffed at!

They didn't fix the rollers so 3 of use were left out - have arranged to go back later for our turn.

Glad you enjoyed the day among the big boys (ooh er missus)
