Hi, my father in-law has the current Ford Fiesta and after having a puncture on a wet winters eve that couldn't be repaired using a can of foam and after waiting 4 hours for the RAC to turn up I'm on the look out for a spare wheel & tyre that can be kept in the boot. Nothing fancy, steel is fine, and will only be used incase of emergency, thinking someone might have one lying around or know someone who has.

Many thanks
Aidan

Currently 16", doesn't need to be though, as its purely for emergency use only.

I may have a spare from a Focus (Space Saver), will need to check when I'm next home which is probably Tuesday.

It should match up with 205 x 50 x 16 and is a 4 stud pattern.

If its not been binned then you can have it.

Am in the same boat though our Zetec is on 15 inch wheels.
If anyone has a spare after the OP has his then I would be interested.
Have read that certain Focus space savers also fit the fiesta.

Ben

That would be great mate, look forward to hearing from you next week.

These manufacturer's should be banned from supplying these stupid foam in a can alternatives!!

Thanks again

If a 14" will fit over the brakes/in the boot, you can have the spare out of my sierra (wont fit on the car anymore as got a big brake kit on it)
I didn't want to throw it out as it looks like it's never been on the car, so been sitting in the loft for a while.

I have one from a 09 plate with tyre.

It was for my wifes, who has now got a 12 plate which has different alloys

Like this if some one wants it

Gary, is this a full size spare or space saver?
That photo is the same as the alloys on my wifes Fiesta Zetec, would need to check if there is space in the well for a full size.
Of course, would give the OP first shout on it.

Viper or Gary that would be great thank you, where are either of you based and I'll arange to pick up at wherevers closest at a time convienet to you guys.

Cheers again, the manufacturers should be ashamed of these useless cans of foam, quite sure if their family was stuck somewhere they'd realise this!

I bought mine off of ebay because the foam is fine if its a nail or similar that causes the puncture.

However if like my son did, you rip the tyre wall then the foam pours out the hole and leaves you stranded.

Bloody stupid idea, if you ask me

Its all to do with reducing costs, decreasing weight and increasing mpg.

Still pish when you're stuck at the side of the road with a can of crap!

Rubbish guys...

Fiat with foam 51mpg
Ford with spacesaver 36mpg

One diesel and the other petrol has nothing to do with it. wink
