Mini convertible roof issues

I have a Mini Convertible 2007 and the roof works sometimes and sometimes not. When its not working I press the button and it opens the sunroof, I let it go again and press again and the button for closing the roof flashes and the roof doesnt move until I close it again.

Am I doing something wrong somewhere.

Do you have anything in the boot? There are a couple of microswitches under the shelf in the boot that if not pressed down the roof wont open.

Pull the shelf down until it clicks and try again.
