Black Country Stew?

Sounds tasty beer

Asda in Brierley Hill was manic this afternoon, mind you it always is, but more so - if you know what I mean.

Snow falling in Kinver from 1530hrs.

Thawing today in N Warks .Asda was maniac as lots of snow is forecast tomorrow . In fact in centraml Midlands it only 4". Thing about this year is that there's few 4x4 around . They seemed to shine up the road better than most. Still laugh to see the heavy foot merchants doing 40 and going nowhere .

Not quite as serious (I hope), but I'm starting to tire of the evil white stuff too.

My work gets thrown into disarray as a result of snowfall, and even the fun stuff decides to bite me.

Sledging with the kids, me and the eldest on one of our plastic sleds, just hit top speed when, BANG!

Hit a stone, tore the sledge asunder, and my back and bum are killing me. Probably only bruised, but I'm hobbling round like an old man.

Let it rain.

Snow at 1900, rain at 2100 . Lot less of both than forecast just north of Coventry .

Be warned, the snow we have here in nottingham is a ball ache to drive on. It isn't like the fun, tail happy snow we had last week. This stuff is pure understear slush and I'd strongly advise that only essential journeys are made.

It was very difficult to find any traction from a standing start or on a small incline and it'll be much worse when surrounded by muppets tomorrow.
Of course, if you have winter tyres then everything I said is invalid.

Same in Chesterfield. It took nearly four hours to drive five miles. It was generally okay, but two hills defeated us and the Toyota we were in was just throwing a tantrum. hehe

We just got back in the last half hour or so, and with a hot drink in my hand I will watch Ice Road Truckers to continue the theme. laugh
