Cat C Noble - would you?

there is a Cat C repaired Noble on ebay.. seems an honest appraisal. The price is keen. Seeing as these are fibreglass and space-frame there's little I see that couldn't be replaced satisfactorily to a factory standard.. But would you consider and your reasoning?

Compared to the 2.5 on there with twice the miles and damaged it looks like a reasonable car for the money.

looks very clean to me... id definatelly look at it, if its straight and hounest then its a very good buy

if you were buying one to keep - then the cat c might not be the right one

i suggest you track it and thrash it and sell it for what you can get at some stage in the future

hi i bought a cat c car last feb direct from the insurance company needed front rear clams rear clip front rad,windscreen,side pod section,and some other bits and pieces but no chassis damage i worked hard and the car is now perfect doesnt bother me being cat c as it owes me half what a dealer would ask for the same car but be warned i did a lot of time consuming work on it to get it to a perfect car again but worth it if you need any advice pm me cheers sean

sorry didnt realise its already repaired they tend to write nobles of for not a major amount of damage as long as it seems to have been repaired correctly then go for it

I have been looking at this, i understand this car has had chassis damage with sections cut out. It also has rewelded manifolds. Also with no photographic record of the accident it's too risky for me.

i have a spare side pod section and other bits but dont see the car worth what they are asking with 72k miles and by the time you take into account repair and paint costs!!

OK I'm in. Bought the panel damaged Gunmetal from Jetstream. Will be having it shipped to the the body repair centre for some attention, then need to look at a few small issues myself when I get it back home. Turn around is going to be around 5-6 weeks back to me, I cant wait! Will be needing loads of advice along the way. There is also a question of colour, as it needs both clams and a sidepod it will be having a full respray so a colour change is possible, but Gunmetal looks good also.. as the work moves along I hope to document the whole project with loads of pictures.. must add great dealing with Jetstream!!
