Hello all
Could anyone recommend a good alarm/immobiliser installation place in York? Prefer it there as I live+work there. I've tried a few, but am having problems finding someone who'll go near my Wedge wiring.

It's currently uninsured as far as theft goes until I get one! So am left with removing a vital part of it's anatomy when I leave it, usually an ECU The wiring itself is in good condition, but they run for the hills when they see the all black wiring loom!

Answers on a postcard please

cheers
Dave

Yup, tried them first as they're 100yards from work and seemed good when they did the last car for me. I asked them if they'd be OK with it given the sort of wiring it is. Took it in for fitting and half hour later I got a phone call saying we can't do it, grrr!

Any others ideas welcome, near Blossom St would be good....

Welcome back Rich, sounds like you had a good hol

Just waking the topic up briefly. Finally found someone to install it for me. Got it done yesterday and did a top job, despite having to deal with TVRs black wiring and my efforts too.

name is Shane Cooper and if you want a Thatcham approved alarm/immobiliser in York area, he's your man. Not sure if he's a PH member, but drop me an email and I'll pass you on his contact details.

Nige at Motorists Mecca in Micklegate is a good bloke, they did all the audio on my RX7 and did an amazing job. My alarm however was done by Motec at Hospital Fields Road, good guys, knowledeable, friendly and did a good price on a Clifford Cat 1 with turbo timer for me.
