Girlies at Autosport 2013

I thought long and hard before writing this post because I might sound a bit like a Victorian vicar – and I’m really not. And I’m in two minds as to how I really feel about this.
I went to Autosport at the NEC yesterday. Great show, fantastic cars etc. The bit that slightly pees me off is the use of tasty girls on various stands. Now I like looking at attractive women as much as most blokes (probably more than most – its got me into trouble on plenty of occasions). And the girls at the show yesterday were properly drop dead gorgeous. It was really quite funny to watch the huge amount of chaps with cameras (nearly all much older blokes) who were literally falling over themselves to take photos of the girls. I mean, what are they going to do with the photos afterwards – actually don’t answer that…
I suppose what winds me up is that I can’t help but think that the various companies who use promo girls think that us men (their customers) are idiots. Are we really so shallow that we’ll come and look at their products just because there’s some tasty girlie on the stand? Its kind of insulting to our intelligence.
I know its an age old argument – sex and sexy girls sell cars. But what if you were a female customer? What opinion are you going to have of the company concerned? That they're a bit sexist maybe?
As mentioned, I’ll happily spend many a joyful hour staring the boobs of a beautiful girl (if I can get away with it) but I feel a bit uncomfortable about publically standing next to a promo model who’s got half her arse hanging out, just to encourage me to look at a car.

It's not theyre being used, generally they enjoy doing it.

I want to see the OP's pics. I was there yesterday and a lot of them were in the RAF class when you got close enough (which I did purely in the interests of research you understand...), and I can sort of understand it for the Supercar Owner's Club or Pistonheads 
, but it was the stands some of them were promoting that made me grin.
Among others:-
Classic car insurance,
Advertising in a model car periodical,
Smokeless fags...
