Better F1 TV coverage to come.
Discussion
We all shout at the TV when the host broadcaster of the current Grand Prix decides to concentrate on their own driver for most of the race and completely ignore the actual racing (as rare as it is).
So it is good news to hear that the local TV host for most of the Grand Prix's is no longer going to be in charge of what we see. FOM (Uncle Bernie's little company) will provide the broadcasts, they say "the quality of the programming will be assured as Ecclestone's directors and camera crews understand the importance of what is going on in races and will not simply allow the cameras to follow the leader or the local hero."
They will be covering in 2005 the Australian, Malaysian, Bahrain, Turkey and Belgium Grand Prix's. Not many local heroes for those races though, only a single Aussie.
They may also get the deals to cover Canada, the United States, France and Britain.
But unfortunately we may still end up seeing half of the Hungarian GP from the tail end charlies view point (Hungarian Minardi passenger - Zolt Bumgardner).

Great, so does that mean they will have fixed cameras where all(!) the overtaking happens? (........in the pits!)
Seriously though, if the racing doesn't improve soon, with the current (& what is currently proposed for 2005) exciting racing coverage provided in GT/ LM/ ALMS/ ELMS by other stations, I feel that soon nobody will give a rat's about F1 because the audience will realise where the real racing is happening & will have tuned in elsewhere.........
