Custom Exhaust Places in the midlands
Discussion
Old thread, but...just wondering where we're at in 2021 for quality shops to fabricate a custom exhaust in the Midlands?!
Reading a few threads on here, I've spotted [among others]:
- John Ashley Exhausts: https://jaex.co.uk
- Custom Chrome in Nuneaton: https://www.cherrybomb.co.uk
- Torqueflow: https://www.torqueflow.co.uk
- Kingswinford Tyres and Exhausts: https://tyresandexhausts.com
- Applied Autosport: http://aasilencers.co.uk
I know MIJ are often mentioned, but reviews seem to be hit and miss, depending who you get to fab your exhaust [as they have multiple fitters].
My plan was a cat-back system but annoyingly my Jag may have a cat issue, so I'd like to find a shop that can perhaps advise and fit aftermarket/sports-cats too [which hopefully wouldn't be as expensive as an OEM cat]!!
Cheers

+3 for Craig @ DynoTorque
He is a neighbour and i spotted his van a few years ago - called up, he popped by next evening, had a look. Before i knew it car was in, built and back sounding great! Very different to the usual "tuners" where everything takes months as majority are clueless really. His garage is full of some amazing stuff, all one off projects. Quite alot can be seen on youtube via his or DriftWorks channel as their units are on same road in Greet

Has anyone managed to get hold of Dyno Torque?
I’ve tried a few times and it either gets cut off or just rings out.
I spoke to Craig on the phone last week, to discuss my exhaust requirements...we had a good chat but he declined to take on the job as it isn't really his core business. I'm ok with that, better than messing me around...pity though as he does know a thing or two about the 4.2 supercharged V8, having owned either an STR or XKR in the past, so he said I’ve tried a few times and it either gets cut off or just rings out.
My search goes on...I've got someone else to speak to now, a chap called Dud Gin of Professional Automotive Diagnostics. He was a JLR employee [something to do with show cars I think] up until a few months ago, now runs his own business. He a busy guy on a few of the Jaguar Facebook groups, so worth a call I reckon.

Fair enough. My search goes on...I've got someone else to speak to now, a chap called Dud Gin of Professional Automotive Diagnostics. I’m leaving the res in place now so the local Powerflow exhaust place are fitting the backbox on Saturday morning.
