Left the 600 out for a week whilst on holiday and come to use it , but is running like a bag o nails

Will not rev over 4k and then dies, runs really rough and sometimes just about manages to move the bikes weight + me

Have left for a month at a time and never had this problem

Any ideas on what to rip apart first, electrics or carbs ?

No nasty clouds of smoke or oil leaks?

The first thing I'd do is check for a spark on each cylinder. Then have a look at the plug caps to make sure they aren't letting in water. Take the plugs out and make sure they aren't fouled. Assuming all is well I'd have a good look at the air filter next and if that is OK it'd be a carb strip and clean.

If that doesn't do the trick I'd wheel it down the road and phone the AA!

I'd try and leave it running for a bit

My ZX used to do that and after if got it's breath back it was fine, I suspect the carbs were getting a bit bunged up

Funnily enough I was going to get the AA out to look at it, but managed to nurse/ splutter the 12 miles back home

Think I've now resolved this, took the seat of too charge my car batt a bit !! and found that the waterproof trousers had moved and was nearly blocking the air inlet.
Removed and started bike and all seemed to run ok

Meant to take for a spin but too busy taking head gasket of car
