Acronyms in Job Adverts
Discussion
Just a small rant!
I can understand that some acronyms in adverts means that you get the people that understand the job and have taken the various exams so have knowledge of the subject.
However, sometimes companies use their own acronyms for processors they have set up. How would you in that case know what they are talking about?
Therefore, my opinion would be to be clear in adverts and use business and targeted discipline words, but not acronyms’.
What are other people’s opinions?

Just an example, I would love to know what this means?
'Prior NMI experience in an OE environment would be an advantage'
This is associated with a procurement role.
Is it an Electronics firm? The first bit could be a standard in electronics and the second bit I am guessing that it means an Original Equipment manufacturer.'Prior NMI experience in an OE environment would be an advantage'
