The Hobbit - South Coast HFR cinemas?
Discussion
Evening all.
As a Middle Earth devotee an evening out is called for...
Fareham Apollo is my normal venue for cinematic entertainment. A fully-tooled with Sony 4K projection venue. I'd be surprised if their kit has since been rendered old-hat. I do get the feeling when searching for 'HFR-capable venues' however that the results have been skewed by the cinema chains themselves and that maybe Apollo have sold themselves short.
Gun Wharf (Vue) appears on some lists of venues that can screen The Hobbit in all its 48fps glory but Fareham never gets a mention. The technology itself does seem to divide opinion but I'd still like to give it a go.
Any South-Coaters seen it (where?) and care to comment?

Maybe your requirements are more exacting than mine.
I was only looking for a cinema with 48fps projection capability, not one where you can delete the film after 5 mins.
Sorry didn't mean to come across so bluntly, but it really was dire. I exaggerated a bit, I watched about 1/2 an hour. I just dont get that type of film.I was only looking for a cinema with 48fps projection capability, not one where you can delete the film after 5 mins.
This should hopefully some help depending on your location:

What are you talking about...... what does your view of the first 30 minutes of the film reflect on the fantastic new 48fps projectors.....
Its phenomenal, and it was like watching 1080p films on your flashy new 40" tv 6 years ago against your mates old dvd player CRT.
It wont change the world but well worth finding a screen showing it in HFR.
I went to Aldershot Ciniworld.
Also fyi not if all, most film critics have said that the film start is slow but it reintroduces back in to the Tolkien world and for me delivers.
