Thailand for 10 days looking to rent a lens

Hi I'm looking for a lens that I could hire to take to Thailand with me, this would be the first time hiring one and have no clue where to look, as for which lens I'm just as confused. I mainly shoot panoramas and long exposure and I have a nikon D5000 with the kit lens.

What sort of budget are you thinking?

I'm guessing you'll want something quite wide? The Nikon 17-55 2.8 would be a nice option for lots of different applications. Pretty heavy to carry around though.

Or for ultimate quality, how about a wide prime, a 24mm 1.4 would be lovely or as a slightly left field exotic option, how about a zeiss 21mm?

What do you feel is restricting you with the kit lens that you feel you need to rent a different lens?

With regards to where, I've used Lensesforhire on numerous occasions, so it is worth giving them a call.
