I think there's a danger any central Birmingham meet is going to end up as bit of a nightmare and attracting a few undesirables. I Can't see where you'd hold it without attracting the attention of the Police and in light of recent headlines in the local newspapers about road racing just outside the town centre they'd be all over you like a rash.
Better attend some of out of town meets in my opinion.

I arrange a few gatherings for local Skyline/GTR owners, when I say arrange I text a few friends and they turn up, the same people always turn up so it's easier for me to just send a text message.

The wrong crowds can gather easily in Birmingham, but it depends on location and time of day for that to happen, there is also a monthly event I think in the West Mids, I don't go to it so don't know much on details buts its in the Midlands section of the forum

I would also be interested to hear about any meets in Brum of like minded Pistonheads. I live north side of Birmingham near Sutton Coldfield.

Really?????? I was at a decent sized meet in TGI's car park on a Sunday lunchtime while I was house sitting in the area last year without any problem at all.

Too add: I'd be up for a meet as I frequently visit family in the area.

Hopefully I'm wrong , but knowing Birmingham very well and knowing how much interest the Police take too any gatherings of cars I can see it going only one way. But as That said I'd be more than happy to be proved wrong.

One for the future, but have a look at midlands breakfast club, meets at RAF Cosford, returning this year I think. Can be found on Facebook or midlands thread, next one in March possibly. Can be a good mix of motors

Yip, Coxy's meetings always well attended, you can grab a roll and coffee and even look at the planes. Perfect venue!.

Is that back up and running for 2013? I know it had a year off last year. I'd been a few times in the past always a great selection of cars.

Would anyone be up for meeting up at say TGI's on the Hagley Road a sunday morning/lunch time then? If so I can look at getting something arranged, done a few meets there before and they don't mind us turning up and using the top half of the car park since we also go inside and get some drinks/food?
