Car shopping tomorrow - dealer recommendations

Hi,
Out to buy a new car tomorrow for my dad, either a BMW or Mercedes, year old, saloon or coupe and there seem to be a few available at the Southampton and Portsmouth dealerships.
Anyone had any experiences with Southampton and Portsmouth Mercedes and BMW dealers? Any particular sales people I should ask for?

Thanks. Have looked at the A4 and A5, but £ for £ they don't offer anywhere near as good emissions, mpg and performance as the BMWs and Mercedes. ) Chandler's Ford again, ask for Tim. I knew more about the cars they were trying to sell me than they did.
And I have other gripes that span over the years involving my M3 and Z4M Coupe.
On the other hand if you want a Merc then go to Southampton Mercedes next to the airport and ask for Olly in Sales.
He is a good friend of mine and a proper petrol head that knows his stuff with no bulls

Well had a good day despite the weather.
Scotthall BMW were great, spoke to Kev there and he was very helpful. Unfortunately they didn't have anything in to suit us though. Their sister dealer in Portsmouth had a few suitable cars listed, but they were waiting for them all to arrive, and they closed at lunch time.
Mercedes in Southampton were excellent and Martin there was very helpful, gave us a very good trade in and arranged a test drive at late notice in a nice 2011 C250 Sport.
But we're still waiting to drive a 2012 BMW 320d! We need to drive one to decide. Next on the short list is a very nice 2012 BMW 320d Sport Saloon with Professional Media and stacks of other options.
