Who is gonna win the italian grang prix??
Discussion
I am a Motorsport enthusiast. Have been for years.
I know what it is like to set your clock for the small hours of the morning to watch the Australian Grand Prix live, because it just is not the same if recorded.
But the sad thing is regarding the forthcoming GP, is that I don't really care who wins.
The Hungarian and the French GP saw to that. Dull as a very dull thing.
Which is a problem for Bernie.

I can understand why people post in threads expressing how frustrated they are with F1.
Lots of us have invested so much time and effort into following the circus - sometimes in person and often at inconvenient hours on the TV - that to see it in the state it is now is very depressing.
And its not about Scumacher either. Its about too much grip, too much control excercised by a tiny number of teams, and not enough overtaking. And its about drivers who lack character, and where they are clearly simple PR clones in a big money driven power game...
One of the reasons why Schumacher is so dominant is not just because he is brilliant, but also because some of the drivers competing with him are chosen not for the their ability but their ability to pay for their drive...

It's because I DO care about F1 that I am so concened about the way things have turned over the past three or four years. The latest "news" is the Bernie "might" drop the $48 million bond that any team wanting to join the F1 troupe has to post. However, I believe nothing I hear anymore from anyone connected with F1. They are the ultimate spin merchants and do whatever they please - as long as the dosh keps rolling in.

easy mate, why dont you put a nice interesting post on then?
The original post was purely to ask who people have got there money on.
ive got £10 on rubens at 1/5
Ach That wasn't aimed at you, I was referring to the amount of threads that start off well only to descend into the usual "F1 is boring" routine.
I do agree with the sentiments, and this is coming from a big Schumi & Scuderia fan. However, seeing the same comments repeated over and over again is becoming rather tedious.
agreed, and I'm obviously batting for the red team
I would prefer to see the donkey dancers fighting all the way to the finish line with tyrs spinning and lurid slides but with all the wings and aeros and electronics that ain't gonna happen.
How do I get a tenner on rubens as well?
btw who takes over the bikky bin when BE goes toes up ?

Probably also has something to do with the odd few million that Ferrari throw at each race
Oh, and let's not forget that all his success came after Ayrton Senna was so tragically killed.... hmmm, so just how good is he really?!
Jim Clark is still the man!
ps. as for this weekend, same old same old... think I'll cut the lawn!

...its about drivers who lack character,
Absolutely, scary interview with Jean Todt this week in which he predicted Raikkonen could have a similar hold on F1 as Schuey in the coming seasons. That scares me as I actually can't watch his post race interviews they're so painful. At least he's good to watch on the track.
Back on topic, I reckon Rubens is looking pretty good. Second fastest this morning and only four laps on track...
Odd timing on the F1 website - www.formula1.com/race/result/728/10.html
Check out Buttons time, 4th best, quicker than team mate Sato (as a gauge). But look at his sector times, S1 19th best, S2 13th best, S3 12th best. And his top speed through the speed trap, he's 24th....only Heidfeld, who never put in a full lap was slower!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yet he still put in the 4th quickest lap.......is it me or is that really weird.
on the Live timing archive compared to Raikonnen, he loses 0.7s in the first sector, 0.4s in the 2nd and 0.5s in the 3rd, so in total 1.6 seconds in a lap in which he ends up only 0.2 off Raikonnen..and he's 11kmh slower in a straight line has he found a short cut?..
