Just wanted to run a couple things by you guys (Girls?) to make sure I'm not being stupid.

Gave the car a quick geo today, so did the corner weighting and tracking.

With the corner weights I find that I always have around 15 KG more on the Front/Rear right than the left. So if the front right is 115kg the front left is 100 and same for the rear. Then when adding driver the weight is shared fairly equally on to the right side meaning this left right difference increases. My biggest concern in the past with other vehicles has been removing any cross imbalance so in that sense this is fine. However with me in the car I have around 40Kg difference on the two rears.

Does anyone introduce diagonal imbalance to balance the weight on the rears? Usually this has a big effect on brake balance (ie one side pulls or locks early) so didn't bother but just thought it would be better for power application? Is it a case of finding a balance?

Anyway she was 1078Kg total and although the tank was only at 1/4 I was very pleased!

Did the tracking which is a bit of a PITA as even 1/4 turn on the front has a massive effect and as for the rear???? 1/2 turn is around 1.5mm at the rim!! Wonder why they didn't fit proper tow links?
I've set the front to 1mm toe out each side and rear is 2.2 to 2.6mm in, does this seem reasonable?

I took here out for a quick blast and it certainly feels a little more planted although in -2 celcius its difficult to assess! Maybe I need a new diffuser.....

Cheers Craig.

Hi mate , yep sounds about right , i moved my battery behind the passenger seat to move some weight over to the passenger side , also a full tank of fuel helps . yes when Jetstream did my coener weght there was tweaking on the spring to try and get the balance better , before i had it done my car had a tendency to lock the front left after it was a lot better !!

geo sounds about right i cut off my lower front ball joint and changed it to a rose joint then fitted a adjuster in the rear tie rod makes setting up a lot easier and i could widen the rear tract so as not to squash the drive shaft when adding camber .

here is some of the wishbone

and it fitted to the hub

Thanks guys, at first thought the scales had an errors, even let her down ad weighed myself oneach scale! I thought nearer to 1200 was norm for a 3r?

Simon, love the rose joints, is that a kit or a one off? Certainly sorts the camber issue. Battery sounds like it could be next...

Took her out for a run today and she feels a lot mor planted so quite pleased, long way to go but getting there. Today wasn't without issue though, started struggling to make the full 0.7 bar, only getting 0.5-0.6 and little stutters with it. Has anyone ever taken a noble for a drive where it did not come home with another issue lol!

Craig.
