I'm just working on my accident insurance for next year and they want me to wear suitable protective clothing when I'm on track , I've asked what this is and they have confirmed a race suit , trouble is I think I will look a nob in a race suit as I do not race !! Does anyone have a opinion , GTO600 wears one but he competes on track so he can get away with it biggrin
Not sure what to do as I really want my accident to cover me on track .

Is this with CCI? A simple single colour race suit wouldnt look too bad!

You don't want your accident to cover you, you would be in trouble smile

I think one of these would do the trick, some eye holes might be required biglaugh

Simon, l understand how you feel as l use to think the same for a trackday but in my opinion it's a bit like riding a superbike on the road in summer with jeans & tee shirt, come off & it's going to be a lot worse than if you had the right kit on !

My old instructor told me
"All the safety all the time"
I was told if I wasn't wearing good kit when I had my bike crash I would be dead.
I see it the same with track days.

Your look more of knob with melted skin..

Remember what happened to Mr Plato when he wore jeans and a t shirt with no balaclava, got very nasty burns. Its prtoective clothing and not a fashion item so I would recomend one,you will never know when you need it!

Please not green though hehe

nothing to worry about wearing one pal, plus it'l make you faster ;-)

can i recommend anyone to everyone a HANs device as well. i know they are expensive and you need a compatible helmet but in a front on crash they are invaluable
