"Calm down dear, it's a commercial!"

Someone on another forum clocked MW in the street and posted this:

poster on another forum said:
I actually saw him in the street a few weeks ago. He was talking
into a cellphone as he walked down the pavement, still talking as he
got into his car, and continued to talk on the phone as he drove off
without a seatbelt on.

He's a prize dickhead if I ever saw one.

What difference does him not wearing a seatbelt make? When I don't wear one, I pay MORE attention, not less...

The Michael Winner ones are only a minor irritation compared to Elephant.co.uk

Cheap, nasty, unfunny, starring a tw*t and a anopther tw*t in a cheap elephant suit on a mission to see how many times they can say the company name in 30seconds.

Beggers can't be choosers ,unfortunately I did , but then I did save £200 on my wifes (and now only car in the family) motor insurance which included 10% disount via online. With insurance on the ever so increasing rise year in year out , sometimes you've got to bite the bullet.

Admiral + Rowing, bit tenuous.

That's the aim of the ad, get the number out.

Perversly the cheesier and more irritating the ad is, the better it has worked. How many time has ESure been mentioned on PH because of the ad?

and has anybody noticed the twot in the admiral uniform looks like Bruce Willis

Surely the Norwich Union ads "Quote me happy" must warrant a mention?

Also most of them do this one - "save UP to 30%". How do they get this figure and has anyone ever saved 30%?

Dunno about you but 30% for me is £324.

So I can't see myself saving 30% any time soon.

What about the one where some mpv thing rolls down the hill with a dog in it. Can't remember the company so their advertising budget was wasted on me

Oh yes those are really cretinous. Mind you, if they actually ask for so little info over the phone I'm tempted.

Easy. Pick the most ludicrous insurance company and compare against them.

Mazda's own insurance wanted at least 2x the cash of any other insurance company I talked to , so I saved 50%...

(but they do give you free 7 day insurance which is a cracker for road tax on new cars).

What baffles me is that an ad agency must come up this crap then show it to the execs of the actual company advetising.

They then they must pass it off as Ok - what morons

But they work don't they?

Morethan, Direct line, Admiral, etc,etc

You can remember the names and the adverts can't you? Surely that's the point.

So, hypothetically you need to renew your insurance, it's cheaper on line, so you are sat infront of your PC. I bet all of the above are the first websites you go to. Job done!
