Get some chimaera or griff seats - any colours will do fairly easy to dye black.
They fit straight in.

I've got a pair of standard S seats I may be prepared to sell. The front facing bits of leather are all in good condition but could do with recolouring anyway so the fact they're cream and you want black shouldn't be an issue.

Only problem is the rear of the drivers side needs a minor repair where it's rubbed on the bulkhead and the seat squabs might need replacing, but that can be sorted by those sold by Adrian Venn in Joe's email link above.

Could work out cheaper for you than Griff or Chim seats wink

Email me if interested and I'll send you some pictures.

Cheers,
L'rs

With recommendations from Bountyhunter on here I have bought, but not yet fitted a pair of MK 1 MX 5 seats, may need a couple of holes drilled in the floor, but and easy fit and a plentiful supply of good seats on fleabay, mostly for a lot less than chimera seats. Threads are from a couple of months ago on pistonheads.

I can vouch for the Chim seats, comfy too, I also like the way the curve in the dash matches the seat.

yeah i think they work well in mine
and everyone who has sat in it has seemed to agree (including Mike who ive quoted above) i also find them very comfortable - and unlike most seats they dont upset my already poorly back.

i gave mine a "foamectomy" which allows you to sit lowersto gives headroom and more usefully if your a larger chap like myself more room under the steering wheel too.

just had a look and i dont seem to have any decent pics though, sorry but this is the only one i have (a job for the next week or so methinks)
