I miss the 80's when you could radomly drink and drive with no social stigma.
I'm regularly told stories of how 'back int'day' you were able to spend your evening in the pub then drive down to chippy later on and it be considered completely normal! Also of how being designated driver made no difference to how much you drank!

As if people needed reminding, but a sobering advert, which hopefully you've seen before.

Having lived in Australia for a number of years i can tell you that drink driving is still "no worries".http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z2mf8DtWWd8
In Oz there were 1292 road deaths in 2011, pop 22 million, compared to 1901 in the UK, pop 62 million.
Even with those dramatic ads it's still not as bad a stigma as in the UK to drink and drive.
Anyway. Let's not divert this happy thread!
