A tune I saw on either 'Dance Nation' or 'Clubland TV' the other day whilst training.

It was a black rapper doing his bit for 50% of the tune (a bit dizzy rascal in his delivery)

but it was interlaced with quite a good euphoric dance beat at stages, quite different to the norm, have looked at the stations playlists, recent releases, itunes etc but cant find it anywhere frown

any clues from my poor description?

A mate of mine recently asked a question like this on Facebook.

I told him he was after "Wearing my Rolex" by Wiley.

Your question is SO similar I'm wondering if you're both after the same track.

Might the station have a playlist on their website?

Load the "Sound Hound" app on your phone. It listens to the tune then gives you all the relivant info - title, artist, album and a picture of the cover. Amazing!

thanks crabdan, good suggestion but that track is pretty similar all the way through, in the track I refer to the rapping was very separate from the melody, the melody being far more trance like.

checked all the playlists Digger.

I guess it'll crop up again at some point smile

A bit like Shazam? Which has been doing the same thing on all phones for over ten years?

no, closer, but the melody is non vocal & cut off the rapper completely, almost like two separate tunes joined together.

99% sure it isn't this but Clint Eastwood by The Gorilaz has a bit of rap interlaced with soft tunes.

It might be Phantom pamphlet by The swish, or Lush bicep by Moose.

Is the backing tune a sample of an old classic?

Or not?

Dot Rotten maybe?

Im struggling to think of any black rappers that sample or use anything close to euphotic trance that theyve played on dance nation or clubland tv.

This is what came to my mind straight away but hardly euphoric trance.

Edit - my mistake, euphoric trance wasnt mentioned in the first post, it was euphoric dance. It may well be this track.
