I've noticed a general trend on TV for people to refer to the events of 11th November 2001 as "nine-eleven". Typical Americans, getting the date wrong, someone needs to point out that it should be "eleven-nine".

Anyway...
Just wondered what the Porsche owners thought about it... and the American Police department, come to think of it!

Bonce,

Those cute, quirky Americans always write the date by month, then date and then year. They're funny like that.

Awful spelling too...

It's actually the events of September 11th, not November. Typical non-Americans - getting the month wrong.

Oh by the way the 11th Nov is 1111 - same as us

Actually I think Bonce is refering to this:
www.epsm2002.com/EPSM_Dates.htm

"Trade Exhibition Cocktail Party - Monday 11th November 2002 "

Horrible business last year very messy, "Flaming Towers" cocktails were all the rage.

True story from papers:

"The first divorce directly related to the September 11th terrorist attacks has been filed in New York. It appears a guy with an office on the 103rd floor of the World Trade Centre spent the morning at his girlfrind's apartment with his phone turned off. He wasn't watching TV either. When he turned his phone back on at about 11am, it rang immediately. It was his hysterical wife, "Are you OK? Where are you?" He said, "What do you mean? I'm in my office of course!"
