Those exhausts tips just don't match the car - would have thought either 4 exhausts or bigger exhausts?
I suspect that the designers and those running the car may have had more tangible things involved in the decision than "thinking" or concerning themselves with what looked cool. You don't see quad tailpipes and big bore demon tweeks exhausts in F1 either.
The RSR exhaust is made from inconel. One header is approximately $15k.

More so I was referring to the actual mechanical side, they look like they come off a micra yet i'm guessing just by looking at the car they must have a hefty engine in there (though obviously a light body shell - even a bmw 325 had bigger looking exhaust and i would have thought the car would need a bigger exhaust set to expend the fumes more effectively).

Bloody hell - i always thought faster cars typicallly have larger exhaust in order to let exhaust fumes exit more quickly - just goes to show that the standard manufacturers are over sizing exhaust as a marketing angle???steve singh said:

Don't confuse tailpipe sizes and quantity with exhaust system diameters. Many manufacturers have large tailpipe (trims) for image. You need to get under the car and look at the actual pipework to assess the actual system size. fioran0 said:
Well ask why it's only got two tailpipes that don't look very large rather than making a statement about what you think it should have based on nothing at all.
There's no stupid question if its genuinely intended.
I'll ask whatever i like thank you - but will admit i rely on a common sense approach to a reading of a question based on prevailing mainstream logic. There's no stupid question if its genuinely intended.
If i said, that car would look "slamming" and "wicked" if it had 4 exhaust pipes then fair enough, but for most of the car buying public and i suspect posters on even these forums there is implied correlation between power and the nature of exhaust pipe.
The marketing bods have obviously tapped into this, but when the 430 has quad exhaust pipe and this has 2 smaller exhaust pipes most i suspect would naturally think hmmm i would have thought this would have restricted the flow of gases, how strange.
Eta: anyhow thanks for the subsequent responses - i'm surprised at how much manufacturers have exaggerated the size of exhaust relative to what's required - recognise the marketing angle but even a 325i had similar sized exhaust to that fezza
