Morning all,
I expect to be shortening my commute soon, so could be in a position to return to a 911 but this time as a daily driver. Car would most likely be an early 3.6 996 and I am encouraged by ads for one or two owner well looked after cars out there. Another piece of the jigsaw is who would look after it? I have moved since I last owned Porsche, and am now near Canterbury in Kent. Can anyone recommend any specialists in East Kent? I have used one man bands in the past with great success, and am not interested in shiny showrooms, just honest good value workmanship.
Many thanks.

Hello, though I have a Merc SL. Class Cars at Goss Hall near Sandwich specialise in both Mercedes and Porsche. I've used them a few times and they are pretty good.

I've used Project Nine in Marden who are very good but maybe a bit far West for you:

And whilst looking them up I found this place much nearer:

Great, thanks very much. I have never noticed Herne Motors on Broad Oak. Will look out next time I am there.

+1 for Cliff. Worth travelling to and he'll give you a lift to Marden station if you need one.

I'm moving to the Wingham area imminently from just down the road. Welcome to the area firstly.

I am aware of a local chap who I understand specialises in Merc and Porsche only. I'll try and find out the details and let you know.

Drop us a DM and I'll pop out for a pint and talk cars with you. There's lots of interesting stuff going on around here.

Nige.

Go have a look at Herne motors, always an impressive array of fabulous cars being fettled. I've used P9 and he's ok.

Class cars have been excellent in my experience with them.

Their 4 wheel alignment transformed my 996.

Steve is very good to deal with and they have no problem if you want to supply your own oil or parts etc.

They also do wheel refurbs via Lepsons which I will be doing in the new year.

Good guys! smile
