Hi everyone wavey

I know some of you are anxiously waiting for details of the 2013 S Club Euro Tour (but I'm sure plenty others of you will be dreading another Tour topic starting!).

Given the success of the previous trips to the Alps (2010), Scotland (2011) and the Ardennes/Spa Francorchamps (2012) the numbers of people wanting to attend has steadily increased. This means searching for hotels for the 2013 trip which are big enough, good enough, reasonably priced and available around the same weekend is proving to be a bit of a challenge!

The reason for this topic is to apologise it's taking a while to finalise things and to reassure you I intend sharing more information in the next couple of weeks. As soon as possible I will start a new topic which will include dates, prices and (obviously!) the destination.

All I will say at this stage is that 2013 will be a return to a driving/scenic tour (i.e. not based around a race meeting) and the route I'm working on will once again take us across The Channel (unless you already live on "the mainland" hehe ) before heading east a bit, then south a bit. I'm hoping this will be in early July.

Feel free to reply to this topic but you'll need to add your names to the new topic when I start it to confirm you want to come.

Cheers for now,
L'rs

I'm tempted guys. Never gone on mainland in TIV, but she is running really well. Not sure what I'm in for, but the thought of a decent run appeals. Hopefully first timers welcomed too....

Will be there this time with my father since he turns 70!
A "short" drive from north Sweden just makes it more interestingdriving

Just hope we can make the S road worthy again...

Hi Ray, will you be bringing Chrischat along as a spare as well?
Just in case a GTS member breaks down. wink

What needs doing on your S? You haven't left it in Kathmandu have you?

I am really looking forward to seeing the scenic splendours of Watford. hehe

Well I almost did not make it back from Nepal, got pretty bad "HAPE" lots of fluids in my lungs...
Had to be evac with helicopter and spent 3 nights in hospital.

As for my S3 the emissions was off at the MOT, maybe I killed the catalyst or the lambasond.
Have to look into that adfter the snow have gone.

Absolutely! We were all first timers once and nearly half of the people on the 2012 trip were on their first trip. And quite a few had not driven at all in mainland Europe before "someone" came up with the silly idea of taking our S's across The Channel wink

Mr M,
We will be going up, up and up a bit more on this trip but not quite as high as Nepal so hopefully no need for helicopters this time!

Mr S smile, I have looked on the map and Umea is much higher up than Nepal so you'll be ok. If you get fluid on the lungs it means you're not drinking it properly. drink

Deeman, I promise you'll be made most welcome. As the saying goes, No strangers here, just friends you haven't met yet.
( I can't envisage that your nasty habits are any worse than ours. )

This year I was a first-timer.
Look at me now.......
