Can anyone recommend a good specialist to set up the tracking/wheel alignment on my RS4 please?

Just had a day trying to go sideways at Bruntingthorpe courtesy of Don Palmer & the car just understeered when turning right. Ok, so "understeer" & "Audi" go hand in hand but with the right amount of speed, lock & timely lift off the car happily went tail out on a left turn only, plus the tyre wore unevenly on one side vs the other.

My first instinct was to go to a half decent tyre place to get laser alignment to OEM settings but if I can find someone local in the Bournemouth/Poole/Wimborne/Salisbury/Blandford area I would consider getting it more, er, professionally set up.

http://www.donpalmer.co.uk/carcontrol.htm There's also a thread on the course over in the AD forum on PH.

The destruction of the very centre of the tread is due to a high level of over inflation in an attempt to reduce the carnage of the outer shoulder. Unfortunately I don't have a pic of the right front tyre as frankly it wasn't so spectacularly trashed.

Before anyone asks, no I didn't drive from Bruntingthorpe back to Dorset on those tyres. Kwik Fit came out to the track & fitted a new set before I left. I started the day with 3mm on the tyres...

The "centre of gravity" in west mids get amazing reviews in the porsche world - very proffesional set up & Chris is a perfectionist. Well worth the journey.

You just want an alignment done?
I wouldn't bother going to the midlands...

Speak to Nick here in Southampton.

Your local Audi Centre will have the correct equipment.
If you want an indie - then Christchurch Tyres are excellent. They are helpful and very professional. They did the alignment on the wife's car (after ProTyre said it was fine, but it was far from right).

+1 for thewheelalignmentcentre used him before great guy and knows what he's doing! Most main dealers use him to check the geo on new cars straight from the factory.

I would also recommend Christchurch Tyre, they really know their stuff and have the top "Hunter" machine.
