Autocar aren't exactly in the business of making bullst video's, I've no doubt it's genuine, in the wet my A3 is faster cross country than my noble.

I really like that A1 smile

I'm not saying they are. However, that video gave me the impression they had a story to write and wanted a video to go with it.

Can see how the A1 would be quicker on a wet, twisty track but surprised at how easily the GTR goes sideways with what appears to be not that much throttle given the 4WD & electronics etc.

Yep, GTR's can be tail happy especially when its wet or cold and when wet and cold there is little grip at all.

I've been on track in the wet in a Caterham R500 unable to keep up with ... well anything actually. I could have walked it faster. Every Scooby in the world passed me. Way too much power for the weight, and being the wrong tyres - nightmare.

In the dry... nothing ever, ever, ever passed me. (And I'm a self confessed crap driver).

It's not really that suprising that a 500+HP Goliath is slower 'round a wet go kart track than an A1 is it?

I heard that, apparently, a modern F1 car can't beat a Land Rover across a field either? tongue out
