All,

Was at Porsche Aberdeen on Monday 3rd Dec and thought something funny was up as all staff were in a circle in showroom. Looked like a new management team introducing themselves. Well my hunch was right. The Peter Vardy Group has bought out Town & County groups dealerships in Aberdeen which ad operated both Porsche and Land Rover. They have also taken over the local Jaguar franchise from Stratstone, so looks like they are entering the premium market.

Will be interesting to see how things change from a family run business to a large motor group.

Does anyone have experience with Peter Vardy Group?

I bought my 123D from Peter Vardy BMW Edinburgh and have had that and my X5 serviced there. I've had a few niggles with them (but less than I've had with other BMW main dealers) but in general I've found them very helpful and responsive to deal with. So I wouldn't be worried there, other than watching for the all-too-common large group OPC bulls**t. At least it means there's one alternative to Sytner Group OPCs in Scotland.

Thanks for the feedback. It could well be good as you say. The business needs capital investment to meet the growing product range.

Did his dad not sell this franchise to Stratstone ( Pendragon) a few years back?

What goes around ..........

That I'll be Reggie then...

Reg Vardy used to have pretty bad reputation up here when they had the Rover franchise
