Hi, i currently rent and will be moving but renting still, It the past whenever ive started a new tenancy, there are several charges implemented by the letting agent, credit checks, contact drafting, etc. im hoping i can get around these somehow as they charge for each person on the agreement (moving in with partner)

I had a credit check done when i moved into where i currently am and my situation has not changed, can i avoid the credit check on the this basis (im not against the check, just dont want to pay the fee!)

Il need to buy a fridge/wardrobe etc so any advice on helping to save some ££ would be gratefull

Find someone renting a property not using an agent its agents adding the fees its how they make their money they are getting paid by both sides for just sorting out a tennant / somewhere to live. Back of the free press is your best bet.

private landlord is the key here.... i advertise my properties through agents and myself.. if the tents finds it through an agent they pay the higher rent (i pass the agents 11% onto the tenant, the £300 contract fee, 75 pp credit checks, check in £110 etc etc etc)

If they rent it direct to me they will save a fortune.

you say you advertise the properties through yourself, is this just in newspapers? is there a website setup for private rentals that im not aware of?

Where should i look for private rentals?
