Mrs W's youngest is here this weekend so it's not as easy to go out; I know says I - I'll cook us a special meal instead.

Mrs W "Ok lets light a fire and we'll cuddle up on the sofa as if we love each other"

Hmm great start.

So after a visit to Waitrose for organic free range chicken and fave Yellow Label Chardonnay, I toiled in the kitchen to create Jamie's finest 15 minute especial pan fried chicken with all the bits n bobs.

Precursor was olive ciabatta with red pesto (real treat from Sainsburys), so I enquired as to her overall satisfaction:

//refer to title//

"It's cooked."

Shall I give up now or later frown

He made a big effort on a meal, was expecting rave reviews, but instead the wife was apparently underwhelmed. She also said "as if we love each other". Alarm bells right there, which means she's probably shagging someone else.

Just divorce her, mate. Ungrateful cheating cow. biggrin

No, my 'eh?' was more the fact I was shocked to read 'treat' and 'Sainsburys' in the same sentence wink

Ohhhhh, it makes sense now. The 'as if we love each other' comment would have been enough to earn some verbal abuse!
